In ChatGPT, enable Developer mode if your account or workspace policy allows it, add a new plugin/app connection, and enter the MayaBooks MCP URL above. Complete the MayaBooks sign-in and consent window. Once the app is installed and allowed by your workspace, it can be used in supported web, desktop and mobile ChatGPT surfaces.
Codex
Add a remote MCP server and use the URL above. A compatible Codex client opens the MayaBooks sign-in and consent flow automatically; no client secret or token copy/paste is required.
Cursor
Add MayaBooks as a remote HTTP MCP server using the URL above. Use a current version that supports remote MCP OAuth discovery and follow the browser sign-in prompt.
Claude-compatible MCP client
Add a remote HTTP MCP server using the URL above in a Claude client that supports remote MCP OAuth. A web chat or restricted sandbox that blocks arbitrary network requests is not the same as an MCP-capable client.
Generic MCP client
Choose Streamable HTTP, paste the URL above, and let the client perform automatic OAuth discovery and PKCE sign-in. Clients without remote OAuth support may not be compatible with one-URL setup.
Security and permissions
- Your MayaBooks password is entered only on the MayaBooks sign-in page, never shared with the AI client.
- OAuth access is tied to one company and rechecks your current MayaBooks role.
- Normal connections start with least-privilege read, report, export and approved draft access.
- Your AI can only do what your MayaBooks user is already permitted to do. Company permissions remain enforced.
- When optional accounting access is approved, a clear instruction can post a deterministic standard entry once. Ambiguous or higher-risk entries require a preview or clarification.
- Unrestricted ledger access and the separate Maya123 Store automation path are never added to an ordinary customer connection.
- Access can be revoked, and refresh tokens rotate to reject replay.
