Tally Migration

Move from Tally to MayaBooks

Bring your accounting history to the cloud with a guided Tally migration and reconciliation workflow.

How it works

Preview, import, reconcile

Migration does not stop at copying data. MayaBooks helps verify key balances and reports after import.

MayaBooks Tally Connector

Signed Windows connector for read-only Tally migration into MayaBooks.

Version1.0.0.15
PublisherPremiumAV Private Limited
Digitally SignedYes
PlatformWindows
Download Connector

Same connector supports Windows desktop, laptop, Windows Server and hosted Windows/RDP when TallyPrime and the connector run in the same Windows environment.

Open TallyPrime

Open the company you want to migrate before starting the connector.

Download the connector

Install the signed MayaBooks Tally Connector on the same Windows environment where Tally runs.

Pair with MayaBooks

Generate a short-lived pairing code in MayaBooks and enter it in the connector.

Detect Tally

The connector checks that Tally is reachable and shows XML and ODBC connection status.

Confirm company

Review the Tally company name before any import starts.

Preview migration

See masters, ledgers, vouchers, inventory, GST data and financial years before writing to MayaBooks.

Import into MayaBooks

MayaBooks reads from Tally and creates the selected migration data in your MayaBooks company.

Reconcile reports

Check Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Debtors, Creditors, Bank/Cash, GST and Inventory.

What can migrate

Accounting history with source checks

  • Accounts, groups and ledgers
  • Customers and suppliers
  • Historical vouchers
  • Products and inventory
  • Opening balances
  • GST-related accounting data
  • Bank and cash accounting
  • Key financial reports and migration report
Read-only Tally flow

Tally stays your source while MayaBooks imports

The migration flow reads Tally data, shows a preview, imports into MayaBooks, and then checks key reports. Tally write-back is not enabled in customer migration mode.

Reconciliation after import

MayaBooks compares key accounting areas such as Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Debtors, Creditors, Bank/Cash, GST and Inventory so differences are visible instead of hidden.

Installation guide

Simple Windows setup

Use the same connector on a local PC, laptop, Windows Server or hosted Windows/RDP. The important rule is that TallyPrime and the connector must be able to reach each other locally.

Open Tally

Keep the source company open in TallyPrime.

Run connector

Windows should show publisher PremiumAV Private Limited for the signed connector.

Pair

Generate a pairing code in MayaBooks and enter it in the connector.

Preview and import

Confirm the source company, review counts, import, then reconcile reports.

Troubleshooting

If something needs attention

Tally not detected
Keep TallyPrime open, open the correct company, and run the connector in the same Windows desktop/server session.
Wrong company shown
Open the correct company in Tally and refresh source company in the connector before importing.
Pairing code expired
Generate a new pairing code from MayaBooks and enter it in the connector.
XML not connected
Check that Tally is running and reachable locally from the connector.
ODBC unavailable
Keep Tally open and review the connector status. If ODBC is required for your migration, MayaBooks will show it before import.
Connector offline
Restart the connector, then refresh the Tally Connector page in MayaBooks.
Migration taking time
Large companies can take several minutes. Keep Tally, the connector and MayaBooks open while the import runs.
Source company changed
MayaBooks asks you to confirm the source company again before continuing.
